"Opening Day" for Quilters!
Arnold, CA...The Independence Hall Quilters Guild of Arnold will begin its weekly meetings for the 2007/2008 season on Monday, September 17, 2007. Meetings are held every Monday (except some holidays) at Independence Hall on Blagen Road in White Pines, beginning at 9:00 AM. The Hall remains open for quilters through early afternoon....
The opening-day meeting on the 17th will include a business meeting at 11:00 AM, the installation of new officers, a Wearable Arts Show put on by members, and a potluck luncheon. New and potential members are welcome.
The Independence Hall Quilters Guild uses proceeds from its annual Quilt Faire to contribute money and quilts throughout the year to Ronald McDonald House, local schools, parks and libraries, the Women’s Crisis Center, the Red Cross, and law enforcement organizations. The group, which believes in giving back to the community, also provides scholarships for high school students going on to college. For more information, call Peggy at 795-0619.
