Head On Motorcycle Accident on Shakeridge Road Causes Moderate Injuries
Volcano, CA...A 66 year old Volcano man was riding his 2002 Suzuki on Shakeridge Road eastbound at an unknown rate of speed. A 53 year old Sutter Creek woman was driving her 2008 Toyota westbound at a stated speed of 30 mph. As the motorcycle entered a curve in the roadway he allowed his motorcycle to cross over the double yellow lines...
As the Toyota entered the same curve she observed the motorcycle coming straight at her. She only had time to hit her brakes and swerve to the right.
Due to the motorcycle rider failure to maintain his position in his lane his Suzuki collided with the left front end of the Toyota. After the impact the rider was ejected and collided onto the roadway.
The rider susained moderate injuries and was taken to Sutter Roseville for treatment.
