Narcotics Investigators Seize 2781 Marijuana Plants Near Mountain Ranch
Mountain Ranch, CA...Narcotics Investigators from the Calaveras County Sheriffs Office seized 2781 marijuana plants in an early mormng raid near Mountain Ranch. The raid took place on Thursday August 23rd, 2007, near West Muray Creek Rd. and Doster Rd. Inivestigators described the cultivation location as three different gardens that were 30 yards apart and connected by trails. hivestigators said the marijuana....
plants ranged in size from one foot to 5 feet tall. Inivestigators said the suspects had constructed a makeshift dam in a nearby creek using tarps. The suspects used the makeshift dam as a water source for the marijuana plants.
The suspects were not located at the grow site but Investigators found two tents and other items indicating the suspects had been living at that location.
This latest seizure brings the total number of marijuana plants for the record setting season to 30,857
