Senator Berryhill Responds to State of the State
Modesto, CA...Senator Tom Berryhill (R-Modesto) issued the following statement in response to Governor Brown’s State of the State: “The Governor laid out an agenda that includes a lot of ideas Republicans support. I look forward to working with him to keep this legislature focused on bringing jobs to our communities and solving some of the state’s major problems. If he can do that – while keeping true to his promise to keep a lid on spending – we will all be in better shape. I do think he was remiss in ignoring the impact prison realignment has had our local communities. This is a pretty big problem for much of the state and I had hoped he would discuss it. For the communities dealing with increased crime, this omission is kind of a gaping hole in the speech.”
