49 Year Old Fremont Man David Michael Tweedie Loses Life in Accident...Update with Victim's Name

Chinese Camp, CA...On December 29th at approximately 4:05pm a 49 year old Fremont man David Michael Tweedie was driving his 1961 Volkswagen east on Hwy 120 attempting to make a left turn onto Shawmut Road at a high rate of speed. As he traveled onto Shawmut Road he lost control of the VW. The VW overturned on it's right hand side numerous times....

As the VW was overturning he was ejected from the vehicle due to the lack of safety equipment being utilized. The 49 year old man collided with the roadway and came to rest face down upon the asphalt roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Notification of next of kin is in process by the Tuolumne County Coroner. From all of us at ThePineTree.net our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.

What a tragedy! So young, so full of life and opinions! He would have been a great Senator or some other political thing!

You were a true warrior for the environment.
The work you did during the BP Oil will never be forgotten. You were so kind to take care of so many people during this time.
You will be greatly missed.
