Happy Birthday Petroglyphe Gallery
Mokelumne Hill, CA...Join Petroglyphe Gallery as it celebrates its 1st year anniversary! Watch your favorite artists at work in and around Mokelumne Hill. Gallery location: 8317 Main St. Saturday, October 13th, 2012 “Art on the Hill” 2:30 – 4:30pm Artists at Work 5:00 – 7:00pm Reception. Eleven artists will be demonstrating outdoors, painting scenes in town, as well as working inside the gallery. Mary Anderson will be sculpting and describing her process inside, and Melissa Arnold will also be present with a discussion and demonstration on nuno felting and textile art. We are looking forward to having artists, Helen Betz creating a work in acrylic, Robert Blair working in oil, and Diana Boyd painting outdoors in oil. Barbara Conley will be painting outdoors in acrylic, Pamela Findleton will be painting an outdoor scene and also working outdoors is Dale Laitinen in watercolor. Doug Lawler will be in the gallery working with oil pastels, and watch Michael Severin painting outdoors in oil. Richard Mills will be demonstrating his technique and process inside the gallery to create copper vessels....
Selected works created at this event will be available by silent auction with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Calaveras Community Foundation’s Career and Technical Training Scholarship which can help further the education of aspiring artists and designers.
