Hwy 120 Accident Ends with Major Injuries for Sonora Woman
Jamestown, CA...Yesterday afternoon about 12:45pm a Lathrop man was driving a 3 axle truck pulling a flatbed trailer eastbound on Hwy 120 at 55mph. A 58 year old Sonora woman was westbound in her Saturn at 55mph. She looked away from the roadway and down at her purse on the front passenger seat. While she was looking down she allowed her car to drift left...
Her Saturn crossed the solid double yellow line into the westbound lane. Her vehicle struck the left side tires of the truck. The Saturn then spun across the westbound lane and came to rest on the north shoulder.
She had to be extricated by fire department personnel and was flown to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.
