Penn Fire Update....180 Acres Officially 15% Contained...
Murphys, CA..Just though we would pass along some info as the hardworking overnight crews transition off the Penn Fire and todays crews take up their positions for the day. As USFS Helo 517 came on scene a few minutes ago it's observations were that the fire lines held well overnight and that finding targets of opportunity that needed some moisture from the air was hard to do. Great work everyone and we are awaiting information on yesterday's accident that injured a firefighter. The release on that accident should be out shortly. Officially updated resources for this morning enclosed...
