Six Fires Locally Yesterday in the Tuolumne Calaveras Area
San Andreas, CA...There were six fires locally yesterday in our area. Many of which were lightening related. The largest was the Gopher fire at 75 acres near Copperopolis. Then there was the Melones fire near New Melones at about 2 acres. The Meadow fire came in at the third largest at ½ acre near Big Trees. Then there were the Fork and the Hogs fires that were in the 1/8th of an acre range...
It took vigilance and hard work by all of our local fire fighting agencies to make sure life and property were taken care of.
