Ivy Hung Appointed Chef de Cuisine at Black Oak Casino’s Seven Sisters
Tuolumne, CA...Award winning Chef Ivy Hung has been appointed Chef de Cuisine at Black Oak Casino’s fine dining restaurant Seven Sisters. Ms. Hung brings with her a broad base of experience, education, and a broad based knowledge of American and International cuisines. Included in her repertoire are Season driven Californian, whole foods, gourmet vegetarian/vegan, gluten free, Pan Asian fusion, and an extended knowledge of wine and food pairings. ...
Director of Hospitality Graham Brook commented, “We're really excited to officially welcome Ivy Hung to the team as our new Chef De Cuisine for our signature restaurant Seven Sisters. She brings a wealth of knowledge in fine dining having worked in Los Angeles, New York City, Colorado and Hong Kong. Ivy has a passion for food and wine and her commitment to local sourcing will add a significant dimension to our menu presentations.”
Ivy’s last position was as Executive Chef at Sodexco in the City of Hope, Los Angeles running a successful high volume multi-concept operation with a strong focus on a season-driven menu featuring local sustainable ingredients. Previous stops as an Executive Chef were at HSBC Bank in Hong Kong, and Chef/Instructor at 6 Senses Cooking Studio in Hong Kong. Other positions leading to her current position included Chef de Partie at Allred’s in Telluride, CO, Head Chef at Red Hills Ranch in Jackson Hole, WY, and Sous Chef at Swan Mountain Inn in Breckenridge, CO.
Ivy Hung was honored as a 1st Prize International Winner and a U.S. Finalist in the Pro Chef Original Recipe Competition in Istanbul, Turkey. Her education includes a Grand Diploma in Classic Culinary Arts from the French Culinary Institute in New York and a BA in Marketing Summa Cum Laude from American Inter Continental University, in Los Angeles.
