Michelson Parents Club Presents, The 23rd Annual "Chicken in a Barrel" on Saturday, June 2nd!
Murphys, CA...It’s time to relax and celebrate the end of another successful school year at the annual “Chicken in a Barrel” Family Fundraiser on Saturday, June 2, noon to 6pm at Murphys Park. This year’s fun will include a full chicken barbecue dinner, live music by Plan B, children’s games, dunk tank, bounce house, “chicken poop” bingo, bake sale, raffle, snack bar, and even a chicken parade!...

Entry and parking are free. Dinner prices are $10 for a 1/2 chicken dinner or a whole chicken-to-go (no separate adult/child pricing this year.) Dinner tickets are available for pre-purchase during the month of May -- students are competing to sell the most tickets in advance. Activity tickets will be sold at the event for .50 each and the public is invited and encouraged to participate in all the activities. Soft drinks and adult beverages will be available for purchase. When it’s time for dessert, patrons can stroll up to main street where local merchants "Yogurt Your Way" and "The Peppermint Stick" will be donating a portion of their proceeds for the day to the Michelson Parents Club.
Now in its 23rd year, “Chicken in a Barrel” is the main annual fundraiser for Albert Michelson Elementary School, presented by the Michelson Parents Club.
