slow down

Each day I have driven past that accident site I have said a prayer for this young man and his family. May those skid marks etc. be a reminder for all of us to slow down, while on the road, while enjoying family time, while living...let's us all learn from this young man.

Check your tires

I was told by one of the responding firemen from Murphys that the cause of the accident was a blown tire on their vehicle, and necessarily speed. While it is a good idea to drive at a safe speed, this accident should teach us to also check our tires often! Mike was a dear friend of mine throughout high school. His passing will forever stick with me as a reminder of all the things we need to be aware of whenever we operate a motor vehicle. Rest in peace sir!

My brother was in this crash, I'm very thankful that he didn't die. But im very upset for what happened with Mike, I didn't know him that well but my sister told me good things about him. RIP we will always love you.

We are struggling hard with the loss of Mike, who was already part of our family. My children, especially Ria, and I are so grateful for the time we had with Mike, but grieve for the life we planned on having with him. Thank you to all those who tried to help Mike at the accident and in his last hour, and to all the love and support we have been given during this devastating time. He is a very special being, and will live on forevor in our hearts. xoxoxoxo
