Calaveras Little League Looking for Fair Volunteers
Calaveras County, CA..."As you may or may not be aware of, the CALL Board has entered into an agreement with the Fair Board to handle the ticket taking at the fair this year. Due to budget constraints, the fair continues to struggle on a yearly basis and continues to rely on volunteers for help. The CALL board was approached this year with a request to handle the ticket taking for the fair. We agreed to take on this responsibility as a league due to the fact that the fair board continues to let us play on the fields on their property with no payment in return to them, other than we agree to maintain the fields....
We will have a total of 24 shifts which evens out to only 2 shifts per team. The shifts will be in two hour increments, and will start at 8 AM with the last shift beginning at 6 PM. We will be taking tickets all four days, Thursday May 17 through Sunday May 20. We need two people per shift who will be responsible for taking tickets, stamping hands and checking bags/coolers as they come through the gate. In return for working the two hour shift you will receive FREE admission to the fair, and FREE parking. Children as young as 14 may help, but the other ticket taker must be a parent.
