Location Change for May 4th Wawona Workshop
Yosemite National Park, CA....The Merced River Plan Preliminary Alternative Concepts site visit and workshop (cancelled in mid-April due to weather) have been rescheduled for May 4. The site visit, from 10 a.m. to noon, starts at the Wawona Store parking lot and precedes the workshop, which takes place from 1 to 3:30 p.m., in the cafeteria of the Wawona School. To date, Yosemite has received over 300 individual correspondences on the Merced River Plan Preliminary Alternatives Concepts Workbook spotlighted during our spring 2012 public workshops. Yosemites planning division is busy reviewing and analyzing your comments as we refine these concepts to create the complete alternatives. These alternatives will be presented in the Merced Wild and Scenic River Comprehensive Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement , to be released fall 2012.
