Are You Ready for MISTcon? It's coming in June..
Sonora, CA...Social media and its powerful uses will be the focus of the MIST Conference, which stands for Motherlode Innovation Summit on Technology. The Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency (ATCAA) in collaboration with community volunteers, and event sponsors will host this fun, fast-paced conference on Wednesday, June 6th at Columbia College...
“Proceeds from the MIST conference will be used to train ATCAA Budget Management Class participants in digital literacy and internet use. ATCAA is committed to bridging the Digital Divide and increasing broadband access,” Shelly Hance, ATCAA Executive Director, said.
This day-long conference will stimulate discussion across a wide range of sectors including: business, agriculture, government, tourism, education, entertainment, non-profit and more.
“In other words, participants from our region will leave excited about expanding business communication without sacrificing precious human and financial resources,” Hance said.
There will be breakout sessions for beginners and discussion groups for advanced users.
Golden State Cellular is co-hosting the MIST Conference. Front Porch has agreed to sponsor reduced price tickets of $20 for full-time students and the staff of non-profit organizations.

According to Golden State Cellular Marketing & Communications Director, Darrell Slocum: “Social media marketing is an essential component in promoting any business, club, organization or non-profit and we view the MIST Conference as a way to educate, motivate and inform the Mother Lode about real time internet opportunities.”
The MIST Conference continues the work of the successful 140 Character Conference held last year.
Registration is available online through www.mistcon.org. Early bird registration is $59 now through April 30, 2012. Full registration is $89. The event begins at 9 a.m. in the Dogwood Forum. Lunch and an after-conference reception will be provided by the Columbia College Culinary Department, which is renowned for their outstanding food service.
