April 21, 2012 - Haley Verzani Fundraiser - The Verzani family’s friends and neighbors are hosting a fundraising event in the Murphys Community Park from noon to 7:30 p.m. 8 year old, Haley, a third grader, was killed on March 18 when a 100-foot fir tree crashed into her Arnold home. Chains Required, The Experimentalists, The Hillsboro Band, and Billie Shields and Friends will provide musical entertainment. Food is being provided by Uncle Mike’s BBQ in Arnold. Beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets ($20) are available for purchase at Sierra Hills Market & Natural Foods...those attending the concert only are asked to make a donation on the day of the event.

April 21, 2011 - Mr. Frog's Wild Ride, Murphys -Feeney Park's annual fundraiser, this cycling event is a ride that winds through Calaveras County, on either a 50 km course or a 100 km course. Both courses offer rest stops, wildflower viewing, rolling hills, historic towns, with climbing and zippy down hills. For the 100 km, a time trial will be an option. SAG Support is provided throughout the course. After the race, there will be a barbecue, live music, local wines and a free massage for participants.
