Russ Thomas For District 4 Supervisor

Copperopolis & Angels Camp, CA...No doubt these are uncertain times for all of us. Calaveras County faces many challenges such as limited jobs and ever-tightening budget constraints. I believe that my life experiences, both as a business owner and County Supervisor, should give voters the confidence that I’m qualified to serve as Supervisor of District 4....

Paid for By Russ Thomas for District Four Supervisor

I am concerned about the future of the county, particularly our economic outlook. We must find ways to improve our business climate and job growth.

If elected, I pledge to work toward these goals:

a term limit for County Supervisors;

a review and elimination of unwarranted County restrictions, and;

an aggressive plan, with measurable goals, to improve economic opportunities in Calaveras County.

In spite of the challenges, I firmly believe that we can revitalize our local economy. One important step toward revitalization would be a change in the philosophy of the County Board of Supervisors.

If re-elected to the Board, my highest priority will be to make it easier to do business in Calaveras County.

Maintaining the status quo is not good enough. Calaveras County needs to be far more competitive than we’ve been in the past, and I’m anxious to provide that kind of leadership.
