8 Year Old Haley Verzani Perished In Sunday's Early Morning Tree Accident ~By John Hamilton

Arnold, CA...Now that her friends are at Hazel Fisher where grief counselors are on hand today the Calaveras County Coroner has released that it was 8 year old Haley Verzani that tragically perished when a 36" diameter tree fell into her bedroom early yesterday morning...

We would like to thank Tim Sullivan for sending in the photo above. We know that many of you are curious about the size of the tree. Needless to say from the shot above it was a large heavy tree. We try to balance what we publish with how it well affect all involved. We hope that by posting this we can slow some of the drive by traffic..

The basics for those of you who may not have read the earlier stories. Between 6:30 and 7:00am Sunday morning a large tree fell in the 2700 Block of Moran Drive. The tree fell into the home and into Haley's bedroom. Inspite of the valiant efforts by the Ebbetts Pass Fire District, Law Enforcement and other agencies in the area Haley succumbed to her injuries.

A Chaplin from the Murphys Fire District was called to the scene to help the family as well. Our hearts go out to the family and her friends. Parents can only imagine their grief in losing a child in such an unexpected and sudden manner.

Now that her name has been released we will be opportunities for the community to start helping the family through this tragic event.

Calaveras County is a wonderful place that rally's around it's neighbors when events like this happen. This time I am sure will be no exception.

From all of us at ThePineTree.net and I am sure most of us in the area we would like to stress that the Verzani Family will be in our thoughts and prayers and anything you would like for us to publicize that may help just let us know.
