Bret Harte Gives a Thumping to Waterford in Game 1 of Post Season Boys Basketball
Angels Camp, CA...The Bullfrogs continued their winning year with a blowout against Waterford last night at Bret Harte High School. The 'Frogs came out swinging, quickly putting down any attempts Waterford made to score. Waterford defended reasonably well, had a pretty decent fast break, and rebounded their share...but just couldn't seem to get the ball in the hoop. First period action ended with Bret Harte on top 31-17.

The Bullfrogs continued their winning year with a blowout against Waterford last night at Bret Harte High School. The 'Frogs came out swinging, quickly putting down any attempts Waterford made to score. Waterford defended reasonably well, had a pretty decent fast break, and rebounded their share...but just couldn't seem to get the ball in the hoop. First period action ended with Bret Harte on top 31-17. A second period rally by Waterford brought the visiting team stands some hope, but they never got closer than 8 points, and Bret Harte shut them down again, ending the half ahead 53-32. I don't know what the Waterford coaches were telling their players at halftime, but whatever it was it didn't work. Second half action was all Bullfrogs as the lead climbed and climbed. As Bret Harte fans have come to expect, scoring last night was lead by Radford with 24, followed by Zumbach with 17, and Evans with 10. Waterford points leaders were Terry and Ruiz with 16 each, and Kumar with 12. It just was not enough for Waterford as the Bullfrogs finished the game on top 91-54.
