28th Annual LAMPLIGHT TOUR at Columbia State Historic Park

Columbia, CA...Friends of Columbia and Columbia State Historic Park will once again surprise and delight participants on the evenings of December 2nd and 3rd with a celebration of the Christmas spirit during the 28th annual Lamplight Tour. This year’s production ‘Twas a Night in Columbia will celebrate the holiday spirit in the year of 1862, with a tour by lamplight through small vignettes while volunteers act out a story in the streets of Columbia. The tour will culminate with music and refreshments in Angelo’s Hall. These magical holiday night tours only happen once a year so make your reservations early...

The story entitled ‘Twas a Night in Columbia, is sure to get participants in the holiday mood as they travel to the year 1862, a time when supplies were not readily available and creativity abounded. Follow along to see what the town has in store for the children in the community and how fun old-fashioned Columbia can be in the evening!

Christmas is alive and well in Columbia and only begins with the cedar bow decorated streets and old-fashioned holiday decorations. Visitors will follow a tour guide through town and make stops at various places along the way as a story full of good cheer and laughter unfolds. Riddled with volunteers in costume, Columbia comes alive during the night for these special evenings.

To purchase tickets or learn more information, please contact Cappi at (209) 682-5754 . Information can also be found at www.parks.ca.gov/columbia. All tickets Friday night, $15. Saturday night tickets, $20 General Admission, $18 Senior Admission, $15 Children 9-15 years old. All proceeds from this event benefit the Friends of Columbia State Historic Park non-profit organization. Funds directly return to interpretation and education programs throughout the year at the State Park.
