First Annual Bear Valley Classic This Saturday~By Jeff Sanford
This Saturday, June 16th, there will be a 9 hole golf tournament at the Meadowmont golf course in Arnold. As Father's Day is the following day, this is an excellent opportunity for the dads in the community to enjoy a short game of golf and donate to the Bear Valley School Fund. The donation is $85.00 per person or $330.00 for registration of a four person team...
The tournament format will be a 4-man scramble, with a Devi's ball. The
standard scramble format applies to 3 of the 4 players, while the player
with the devil's ball plays his ball out from the tee box to the hole. The
player with the devil's ball will rotate on every hole. The score from the scramble players plus the score from the devil's ball is the team score for the hole. (Kinda levels out the playing field...so to speak!) There will be a $360.00 cash prize to the winning team, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be announced. There will be an awards ceremony at Round Table Pizza after the conclusion of the tournament. Lunch is included with your donation to play.
