Updated...Lockeford Man Alan David Rudd Loses Life in Motorcycle Accident
Burson, CA...Lockeford resident Alan David Rudd, 46 was driving his motorcycle westbound on Sr-26 last night approaching Burson Rd at an unknown rate of speed. The roadway at this location turns sharply to the left. For an unknown reason the rider failed to turn his motorcycle to follow the roadway. The Honda left the north roadway edge and struck a wooden post and sign. This impact caused him to lose control and he was thrown from his motorcycle. The motorcycle became airborne, eventually landing on the north side of a barbwire fence, north of the roadway....

He came to rest at the base of the fence, north of the roadway. He sustained fatal injuries and remained at the scene until he was located during day light hours by a passing motorist. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene by Jenny Lind Firefighters.
