The 2007 Festival of Wines Was A Pouring Success!
Murphys, CA... The Native Sons Hall in Murphys was the center of attention this afternoon! Today was the Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital Foundation Sponsored 8th Annual Festival of Wine. The Temps were a bit on the chilly side, but the clouds held back until the event was over. We had the chance to speak with The Mark Twain Hospital Foundation's, Valerie Raggio Apley, and she told us “The Event was a Sell Out!” She also mentioned that the proceeds from this year's event will go towards the CT Scanner for Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital...

Murphys was it's usual charming self this afternoon. People were strolling down the sidewalks and enjoying the day. They seemed to be relishing small town America. On days like today Murphys has a strong pull. The hint of sophistication from the local wineries and the rustic Gold Rush era facade of the town form an intoxicating combination. We overheard one party mention that the Dr's office on Main St. looked like something out of a 50's TV show.
During the Festival of Wines, the wine aficionados picked up their glasses at the Native Sons Hall and made their way through town and stopped at the booths the local wineries had set up. Just click on one of the photos to have look.
