Sonora Regional Medical Center Employees Donate 16,228 Pounds of Food
Sonora, CA....Sonora Regional Medical Center employees donated 9,028 pounds of food during the Medical Center’s holiday food drive. This brings their total donation through the Medical Center’s Food for Families Program to 16,228 pounds of food for 2010. “We delivered huge truckloads of food to our various community food agencies, which will make a significant difference to the families they serve. I am amazed at what we’ve accomplished together,” said Bryan Lewis, chaplain and key organizer of the Food for Families Program. “The amount of food donated greatly exceeds our goal of five pounds per employee.” ...
The donated food was divided among the Amador-Tuolumne County Action Agency Food Bank, Interfaith Community Social Services, Adventist Community Services and the Red Church Pantry.
