The Calaveras County Planning Commission Is Looking For You!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to expiration of terms, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors encourages interested and qualified persons to apply for membership on the CALAVERAS COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION. This Commission consists of five (5) members, one from each Supervisorial District. Applicants must be registered voters residing within the specific District for which they are applying. Members are appointed by a majority vote of the Board of Supervisors and their terms are for two years expiring the last day in December of each even year. The .....
purpose of the Planning Commission is to hold public hearings and make decisions and recommendations on land use matters, including the General Plan, zone changes, subdivisions, divisions of land, use permits, reclamation plans and similar items and are the Administrative Hearing Board for Code Compliance Unit (ie. zoning violations, illegal camping, junk, building without permits, etc.)
Meetings are held the first and third Thursdays of each month, beginning at 9:00 A.M. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, Government Center, San Andreas, CA. Additional meetings are called as necessary. The Board of Supervisors retain complete discretion in the procedures and selection of persons to be appointed.
To obtain specific information regarding the Planning Commission, please contact the Planning Department at 209-754-6394. Applications for membership may be obtained through the Calaveras County Clerkâs Office, Board of Supervisors Division, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas Ca 95249 or by calling 209-754-6370. Completed applications must be returned to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at the above address by January 4 , 2010 in order to be considered by the Board of Supervisors during their regular meeting of January 11, 2011.
