Fundraiser for Tuolumne County Resident, Max DeLacy Being Held on December 11th
Twenty-nine year old Max DeLacy, a lifelong Tuolumne County resident, is fighting a rare and particularly vicious form of cancer. Max is undergoing daily cancer treatments at the Stanford Cancer Center in Palo Alto, and although he has insurance he faces more than $10,000 in co-payments. Max will also need assistance over the next few months during his rigorous radiation and chemotherapy treatments and with living incidental expenses. There is also Max’s inability to work through the long and difficult journey ahead, and because Max works as an independent contractor for various entertainment companies, he has no sick leave benefits. ....
As a way to support and help Max we are going to have one awesome party. More than 10 bands will offer up their tunes, a silent and live auction with an eclectic array of goods will be available for your bidding pleasure, and there will be raffle prizes to please one and all! Max’s party promises to be one of the biggest events to hit Tuolumne County this year, so climb aboard Max’s bandwagon and join us for the “Party to the Max” Saturday, December 11th at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora. Doors open at 4:00 pm and dinner will be served from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
If you are unable to attend the party but would like to support Max, the “Max DeLacy Benefit Fund” has been set up at Mother Lode Bank, 172 W. Stockton Road, Sonora, CA 95370.
A website telling Max’s story can be found at www.partyformax.com. Please check it out and get to know Max a bit… if you don’t know him already.
