In Loving Memory of John Dennis Dorny 1936~2010

San Andreas, CA....A Memorial Service for Valley Springs resident John Dennis Dorny, formerly of Tracy, is planned for Wednesday November 10th. John Dennis Dorny died November 5, in San Andreas after a short illness. The service will be Wednesday, November 10, at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in San Andreas. Viewing will be at 10:00 am prior to the Service. Born in Salt Lake City Utah, Dennis Dorny was an elementary school teacher in California for 35 years. The family moved to Tracy in 1976 where he was active in local sports with his sons and daughter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who later became a photographer who was published and won many awards for his photography. Mr. Dorny was an Eagle Scout and was involved in various youth programs throughout his life. ....


Survivors include his wife Beverly West Dorny, his former wife Beth Dorny, son Todd Dorny of Kauai Hawaii, Blithe Dorny of Sasebo Japan, John Dorny of Spanish Fork, Utah, Clinton Dorny of Spanish Fork, Utah and Clayton Dorny of Colorado Springs Colorado. His step children include Mathew Brian West of Lehi Utah, Ryan West of Dallas Texas, Emily West of Meridian Idaho, and Eric West of Sacramento California.

His legacy also includes is his 18 grandchildren and 10 step grandchildren. He will be laid to rest in Salt Lake City Cemetery.
