2nd ANNUAL RUN 4 MUSIC IS A HWY 4 SUCCESS STORY! ~ By Patty Jo Struve
Avery, CA...Vallecito Music Boosters, in partnership with Vallecito Union School District, hosted the 2nd Annual RUN 4 MUSIC on Saturday, October 30st. This year participants ran between rain clouds but records still fell compared to last year on this challenging course. See last year’s results at our Our Website ..

This year’s field was a mix of local runners who paid the race fee in support of their local school music program and in return were treated to goodie bags, visors, caramel apples donated by The Red Apple and a post-run concert featuring the Avery Middle School Advanced Band and AMS JAZZ. All-Star Trophy Shop in Angels Camp designed the trophies.
Vallecito Music Boosters thanks its sponsors and volunteers who helped make this event a success!
Given it was Halloween, runners were urged to come in costume and many were in attendance, with Kenna Evans and Emily Skaar taking the prize for best costumes.
Please remember that winter is just around the corner and the community is welcome to come out to the 5th Annual JAZZTRAX SNOWSHOE STOMP on February 6, 2011 , co-hosted with Bear Valley Cross Country.
