Tammy Ham Was Arrested Today on Child Endangerment Charges!(Updated Sheriffs Report)
Wednesday April 11th, 2007...On 4/11/07 Investigators from the Calaveras County Sheriff s Department arrested Tammy Ham, 41, of San Andreas at her residence for an arrest warrant charging felony child endangerment. The investigation began on 4/7/07 when the parent of a young female, 11 years old, reported to Sheriff s Deputies her child had been injured while visiting the Ham residence. Investigators learned that on 4/6/07 the child had been standing on...
the rear bumper of a pickup truck holding on to the tailgate which was being driven by Ham. The truck was reported to be moving at a slow speed off the highway when it is believed the pickup truck hit a hole causing the child to lose grip and fall on the tailgate with enough force to cause internal injuries.
Tammy Ham transported the child to her residence where the child complained of abdominal pain and vomited numerous times. The child asked Ham twice to call her parents but was told no. Later the parent picked the child up at the Ham residence where she found her daughter lying on the floor moaning in pain. When the parent asked Ham what was wrong with her daughter Ham said she did not know. The parent left the Ham residence with her daughter and spoke to the family physician who advised the parent to take her daughter to the hospital.
The Child was examined at Sonora Regional Hospital where she was admitted for internal injuries.
Ham was booked at the Calaveras County Jail where she is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
(1st Report)The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office received a citizen complaint of non-familial child endangerment which occurred on April 6th, 2007. Sheriff's Investigators completed an investigation which was submitted to the District Attorney. A warrant was issued and the suspect, Tammy Ham, was arrested at her residence and booked at the Calaveras County Jail on Felony Child Endangerment charges. Bail was set at $75,000.
