BEAR VALLEY MOUNTAIN RESORT CELEBRATES SPRING WITH APRIL ACTIVITY LINEUP! By Marc Gendron
BEAR VALLEY, Calif. – April 2, 2007 – Recent storms have created excellent Spring skiing and snowboarding conditions at Bear Valley Mountain Resort, resulting in an extended season from April 15 to April 22. Following are special events planned at the resort during April....
An Afternoon of Wine - April 7, 2:00 p.m. - 5:30pm
Enjoy wine tasting from local wineries accompanied by a spread of gourmet cheese and bread. $15 includes a commemorative wine glass and eight tastes. Additional tastings can be purchased for $5. All proceeds benefit the Bear Valley Music Festival, a non-profit organization that offers a full symphony orchestra, international soloists, legendary entertainers, and renowned opera stars in a unique mountain setting every August.
Season Pass Holder Appreciation Lunch - April 8
Show your season pass and have a lunch on us! Bear Valley 2007-08 season passes, which are on sale now and are valid through the remainder of the current ski season, are enhanced to offer more value including all-season discounts to local golfing, lodging, rafting, wineries, summer concerts, mountain biking and cross-country skiing. Season Pass Prices range from $39 to $379 and can be purchased online at bearvalley.com or in the main office.
Easter Sunrise Service and Egg Hunt – April 8
A great way to celebrate Easter, Bear Valley invites families to attend its sunrise service at Koala top with the resort’s scenic slopes as the background. Following the service, children of all ages are welcome to join in the Easter egg hunt.
Reggae on the Mountain & Pond Skimming – April 14
Featuring music from Baldread & the Raggamuffin Crew, this event is not to be missed as some hearty souls don their wacky outfits and attempt to ski and snowboard across Bear Valley’s pond.
Micro Brew Festival – April 14
Featuring micro-brewed beers from all over, come out and enjoy this special festival as live reggae music plays – and catch a glimpse of the pond skimming!
Customer Appreciation Day – April 15
This year Bear Valley is offering two-for-one tickets for Bear Valley’s to say “thank you” to Bear Valley’s awesome guests. This is the day for customer’s to come with a friend and when you buy ticket at a Bear Valley Ticket Window, you can receive a second ticket of equal or lesser value for your friend – and enoy the mountain all day. Ticket is valid for April 15th only and cannot be combined with any other discounts.
Dog Sledding- Bear Valley Cross Country – April 21-22
The dog sled event is scheduled for April 21 and 22, 2007. It is sponsored by BASH, the Bay Area Siberian Husky Club. This event is hosted by Bear Valley Cross Country and is held in the meadow. The public is welcome to attend.
