Twana Williamson Passes Away in Groveland Accident

Groveland, CA...Twana Williamson, 59, was driving her 2007 Ford Escape eastbound on Upper Skyridge Drive east of Lower Skyridge Drive in the Pine Mountain Lake subdivision at an undetermined speed. She may have been under the influence of an alcoholic beverage according to her husband. She was also not wearing her seatbelt. As she negotiated a left curve in the roadway, she allowed her Escape to travel to the right and down the east decline embankment...

where the Ford sideswiped a tree and the front of the Escape struck a rock retaining wall. The drivers airbag and side curtain airbags deployed. She was propelled forward within the passenger compartment and her face struck the center of the windshield which resulted in major facial trauma. The Ford came to a rest on its wheels down the south decline embankment of Upper Skyridge Drive facing in an easterly direction. The collision was discovered approximately 2 1/2 hours later by a passing motorist. Williamson was pronounced dead at the scene upon arrival of medical personnel.

She would likely have only received minor injuries had she been wearing her seatbelt. CHP release is attached.

From all of us at ThePineTree.net our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Buckle Up Everybody!!
