California's leading statewide economic development organization elects local leader, Larry Cope to its Board of Directors.
Sacramento and Sonora, California; July 14, 2010: The Board of Directors for the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) has just elected Larry Cope, Director of Economic Development of the Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority (TCEDA) to serve a full term (3 years) on the CALED board. This means that Larry Cope will work with a statewide network of economic development experts to build healthy communities by helping them expand, retain, and attract new businesses to their areas and California.
Larry is currently the Chairman of the Central Sierra Economic Partnership, a regional group of Economic Development Organizations including: Amador, Calaveras, Inyo, Mariposa, Mono and Tuolumne Counties. He also serves on the Tuolumne County Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Board.
The California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) is a professional membership association made up of organizations involved in economic development. Formed in 1980, CALED has grown to over 1,000 members, representing cities, counties, state, federal, and private sector members. CALED supports communities in their efforts to create prosperous economies by providing leadership, professional development, current information, a wealth of resources, and a many other services to communities to help them grow their economies.
The Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority (TCEDA) promotes the County of Tuolumne, including the City of Sonora, as a dynamic business location and provides businesses with essential information needed when locating or expanding business in the Sierra - Mother Lode Area of California.
TCEDA’s mission is to facilitate a local economy that is innovative, resilient and diverse, by assisting in business formation, developing a skilled workforce, supporting local businesses, and attracting innovative companies to Tuolumne County.
