Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital is a not-for-profit, 25-bed general acute care hospital serving all of Calaveras County. Established in 1951 as Mark Twain District Hospital and centrally located in San Andreas, the hospital is partnered with Catholic Healthcare West to further strengthen this rural hospital to meet future community needs. The hospital is supported by 36 active physicians practicing in 24 specialties.
