Dorrington, CA...February Storm Watch...WEATHER: Woke up to blue skies and a wet deck this morning. At 2pm it finally got really cold and the wind has picked up a bit. Otherwise, no snow yet, just that over night bit of rain. Snow at the ski resort all day today according to a few walk-in visitors looking to buy cabins. BERM HEIGHT: 4-6 Feet in any given area. ROAD CONDITIONS: Clear but slick.Fog between Arnold and Murphys with low visibility. AT THE PUMP: $ 2.87 in Arnold. POWER OUTAGES: None. WILDLIFE REPORT: Giant Coyote. this big boy dwarfed him. Well fed with a nice coat, Daddy said he looked like a cross between coyote and german shepherd. Which is quite possible.
Coyotes are very smart and sometimes strengthen their gene pool by luring in domestic dogs for mating. We might have a small pack of hybred wild german sheperds in the area. That big coyote tracked Daddy and my pups around the meadow and met them at the top of our driveway. Daddy didn't know he was there until Roxy took chase. (She's really full of herself sometimes)
REAL ESTATE: Sales are slow and the main interest of most buyers is the low end foreclosure opportunities. If your property is listed, keep in mind you are competing with foreclosures across the board. Buyers are working the lowest end of spectrum.
Cambria Hatcher of Murphys has joined my team of Realtors. Cambria has been working for Gold Country Real Estate for the past couple of years. Gold Country has closed it's office in Murphys for retirement reasons (they just want to do some traveling at this point).
