Patricia Ann Bathurst-Salemme of Valley Springs Passed Away on December 27th, 2009

Valley Springs, CA....Patricia Ann Bathurst-Salemme of Valley Springs, California passed away on December 27th 2009.  She was born in Stockton, California on November 06, 1953 to Clyde and Rita Bathurst. Patricia attended Lincoln Senior Elementary and Lincoln High School and graduated in the Class of 1971. After High School Patricia decided to attend San Joaquin Delta College and obtained an A.A. Degree in Business Administration while working in the retail clothing industry for Macy's and later J.C. Penney's as a .....

Display/Advertising Manager. Then Patricia decided to pursue a B.S. degree in Medical Science at University of Washington, however she ended up coming home sooner than expected for family hardship reasons, and ultimately married Anthony ’Tony’ Salemme in 1981 and had a son Nicholas Arch Anthony Salemme of Valley Springs, CA. In the years that followed, Patricia and Nicholas developed the strongest of bonds between Mother and Son and required all of Patricia's strength in overcoming all the trials and tribulations they faced together. These are the days that will be remembered and cherished..During those remaining years of raising Nicholas, Patricia had a few different careers as a Personal Banker, then a Phlebotomist, and lastly a Bookkeeper to make ends meet. In the end, Patricia was instrumental in building Nick's character of self-motivation, independence, and to always serves a cause greater than himself which explains why Nick chose to serve in the U.S. Navy for 5 years after completing High School and his determination to complete his B.S. degree. Patricia left us too soon at the age of 56, with tearful eyes we watched her suffer in these the past several years with her back injury circumstances that eventually caused other health issues. In the end, God saw that she was getting tired and a cure was not meant to be, so he put his arms around her and whispered "come with me". She is survived by her son Nicholas A. A. Salemme and her Daughter-in-law Kimberly, Grandchildren Logan and Caitlin Salemme. Patricia leaves behind two sisters Marla Celli (David) and Cheryl (Ronald) Scatena and numerous nephews and nieces. Patricia was a loving and dedicated Mother and will be missed by her Son, Grandchildren, Family and Friends. May God grant her peace and eternal rest. Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Jackson, CA. Inurnment will be at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson, CA. Condolences may be offered via e-mail to the family at danerimortuary@sbcglobal.net. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, Ph. 209-223-0793.
