REFUGE Presents "Hilary Watson" on December 20th
REFUGE presents Hilary Watson on Sunday December 20th at 7pm. Cost is FREE. Born and raised in Riverside, Calif., HILARY WATSON purchased her first guitar – an electric guitar – from a pawnshop at the age of eleven. Fortunately for her family, the electronics didn’t work and she was never able to plug it into a amplifier. All in all, it worked well enough for her to learn her musical alphabet (C through B for you musicians out there).....
Fast forward to the present, where years of dedication to learning her craft and refining her songwriting have led to Hilary's breathtaking debut CD, Passing By, a collection of beautifully nurtured songs that have set her apart from any artists you'll hear this year. Gorgeous melodies, surprising chord changes and harmonic shifts, rich instrumentation, and imaginative poetry intertwine to weave moving stories of faith, hope, disappointment, love, and redemption. Standout tracks include "Ruin Me," "By Faith," and album centerpiece "What Kind Of Love Is This."
