COMMUNITY CLUB HOLIDAY DINNER DANCE FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11 AT IRONSTONE~by Bob Reagan
The Murphys Community Club will stage its fifth annual Holiday Dinner Dance on Friday, December 11 at Ironstone Vineyards on Six Mile Road in Murphys. The general public is encouraged to attend. "This will be an opportunity for friends and neighbors in the Murphys, Vallecito and Douglas Flat area to gather together to toast the season, eat a wonderful meal, dance to good music, and get ready for the busy year end holidays,” states club president Michal Houston. .....
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a no-host wine bar in Ironstone’s Culinary Center. At 7 p.m. everyone will sit down in the Music Room to a festive dinner of prime rib of beef or grilled Pacific salmon with all the traditional side dishes. Music for dancing will be provided by disc jockey Sound Extreme playing a wide variety of songs. “We want to have music for everyone that is very danceable,” says Houston.
Tickets at $45 per person are available by calling event coordinator Sue Friedman at 728-8183.
The Murphys Community Club is the organization responsible for the oversight of the popular Murphys Community Park. It is also the sponsor of the annual Murphys Homecoming, and presents events such as Town Hall Meetings, First Fridays in the Park and band concerts at various times during the year. The club is always seeking new members. Anyone interested in joining should call 728-8183.
