David Stevenson of Jenny Lind has Passed Away...Services Being Held This Evening at 7pm
Jenny Lind, CA....David (Dave) Stevenson, age 80, of Jenny Lind, passed away on August 10, 2009. He was born on July 30th 1929 in Stockton, CA. to Robert and Ore Stevenson. Dave and his family made Jenny Lind their home in the spring of 1962. He worked for American Forrest Products for 38 years, where a passion for woodworking was instilled. Dave was an active member of Campo Seco Oddfellows Lodge #66 for 40 years where he held many offices. In 1977-78 he was appointed Grand Guardian for the Oddfellows Grand Lodge of CA. In addition to these offices, Dave was an elected trustee to the Oddfellows-Rebekah Children's Home in Gilroy. He was also an active member of the Jenny :Lind Volunteer Fire Department and served two terms as commissioner....
"Dad's first love was his wife and daughters. A very important part of his life was spending time with family and friends. For those of you who knew David well, will fondly remember him as "Eveready" and the recipient of the "Golden Hose."
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his son Mark and Great Grandson, David, his name sake. Dave is survived by his loving wife Charlotte, of 58 years; Daughters, Susan Eheler of Stockton, Kathleen Kuntz and Son in law Darryl of Jenny Lind; Brother on las, Richard DeRivi and wife Charlene; 7 Grandchildren: Nichole Williams (Aaron), Patricia Hope (Michael), Tiffany Kuntz, Marcus Faccino, Matthew Faccini, Carl Faccini and Katie Faccini; 3 Great Grandchildren: Allison Berrett, Eric Williams and Neveah Faccini."
Family and friends are invited to a viewing at San Andreas Chapel from 12 noon-7pm. on Monday August 17th. A Rosary service will be held at 7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 162 Church Hill Road in San Andreas on Tuesday August 18th at 10:30am. Committal: Jenny Lind Cemetery.
