Angels Camp, CA....The Calaveras County Taxpayers Association held their second Tea Party on July 4th at Utica Park. The first protest hosted in April centered on awareness and the Tea Party movement, this time around the focus shifted to Education. At the 4th of July Tea Party they had numerous speakers and video presentations.....

On hand was Steve Fairchild, local cave and zip line entrepreneur extraordinaire. He provided a lesson on Climatology and how scientifically analyzing stalagmites in Moaning Caverns proved the cause of increased CO2 levels was Global Warming and not vice versa. His presentation along with others, signified the groups focus on educating the public and perspective members on the fundamentals of economics.

Supervisor Russ Thomas also stopped by, sang patriotic songs and gave a taxpayer report about the early costs to the County caused by AB32.

The next CCTA event is coming up on August 20th at Moaning Cavern Resort. This will be their "Annual Luau."
