Lisa Anne Groswird-West Passed Away on May 30th, 2009
Lisa Anne West, 49, passed away peacefully in her home on May 30th, 2009. Surrounded by family and close friends, after a 19 month battle with brain cancer. She fought the brain cancer bravely with a positive attitude and outlook despite the challenges of the disease. Lisa was a loving wife of 24 years to Tim West. Lisa enjoyed spending time with her family and friends on vacations in Hawaii and Mexico and and at home. You would most often find Lisa playing Yahtzee, cooking, reading, planning weekend social events or spending time enjoying her pool at her home. Her dogs ("sons") Peejo and Poncho were never far from her side....
Preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Ann Groswird. She will be missed every day by her husband, Tim; father Alex Grosword; his wife, Carol Talty Groswird; Aunt Shirley Groswird; Brothers, Alex Groswird and Randy Groswird; Sister, Catherine Groswird; Her nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. It was an honor for Lisa's longtime friend, Martha "Marty" Wisneski to care for Lisa, and the family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for loving and caring for Lisa until her final day.
Memorial Gathering will be held on June 13th, 2009 at 12:30pm at the San Jose Country Club at 15571 Alum Rock Avenue in San Jose, CA.
Lisa's Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the West Residence.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Lisa's name to Amador Hospice in Calaveras, Box 595, Jackson, CA 95642.
