Update On Murphys Motorcyclist Fatality
Murphys, CA....We stopped by the Nugget last night to see if we could a few additional details on the Fatal Motorcycle accident Friday evening. We would like to add that these are merely preliminary observations and the CHP accident release may differ from this significantly. The reason we stopped there was the initial reports said that the vehicle was moved to the Nugget after the crash on Murphys Grade Road and the tow truck was dispatched there. The doorman we spoke with said the motorcyclist actually rode there after the accident and then collapsed. The initial reports are head trauma with subsequent difficulty breathing...
The victim is not believed to be a local resident. We will post the CHP release as soon as it is passed along to us.
CHP Officer Castillo said they should have their initial release today. Let's be careful out there!
For those of you coming up to visit. Please be careful! Calaveras County is a great place to visit but our county is filled with lots of corners and some very tricky ones. Some of them decreasing radius where if you try and tighten your line mid corner the results can be fatal.
