"Guys and Dolls" Brings Lots of Local Talent to the Black Bart!
Calaveras Children’s Repertory Theatre is proud to present “Guys and Dolls” at the Black Bart Playhouse in Murphys, CA. One of Broadway’s most hilarious shows, “Guys and Dolls” has been described as the perfect musical comedy. Masterson (Ryan Evans), a slick Broadway gambler. The show’s second romantic storyline involves Nathan Detroit (Robby Hall) and Miss Adelaide (Pandora Hope) who have been engaged for fourteen years. Nathan organizes the “oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York,” and Adelaide is the main attraction at the Hot Box nightclub. Also featured in our cast of talented young locals are Kyler Dillon as Arvide Abernathy, and Grace Caruso as General Cartwright. Amanda Benge, Kailer McFall, Raychel Nash, Gillian Garrett, Claudia Loomis, and Brooke Freeman all appear in the Save-A-Soul Mission band. Jessica Scales appears as Mimi, accompanied by Bryn Merrill, Ashleigh Zakharin, Stephany Summers, Megan March, and Danielle Benedetti as dancers at the Hot Box nightclub. Gamblers include Martin Taylor as Rusty Charly, Joe Dougherty as Harry the Horse, Andrew Gary Scott as Benny Southstreet, Jim Carlile as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, Quinton Tucker as Big Jule, and Tony Salis as Angie the Ox. Giovanni and Mariana Airola will appear in a special dance number in Havana, while Lt. Brannigan, played by Michael March tries to track down “guys” like Kyle Eastman, Arman Abusaidi, Tristan Airola, and Sam Airola. “Dolls” appearing in the production include Cassidy Hunter, Carley Hix, Kiara Hix, Quincy Camper, Isabella Lagomarsino, and Briann Simpson. “Guys and Dolls” is directed by Cyndie Menard, and choreographed by Kristi Mizicko.
