Copperopolis Car Show 2009 ~By Charity Maness
Copperopolis, CA... Lions Club pulled out all the stops and proved that Copperopolis is the place to have a car show…rain or shine!
Gary Ribeira and his beautiful wife Debbie, from Copperopolis, with their ’57 Fairlane, that Gary spent 8 years restoring from the frame out...
Therone Bent, of Copperopolis proudly displayed his 1973 Harley Davidson Iron Head Sportster.
Rob and Tina Neece showed off their 1962 Nova and 1968 Camaro. Both built from the ground up by the self proclaimed “gear head” Rob.
The Johanson Family, Phil and Clint, from Oakdale put their 63 ½ Falcon on display. This labor of love took four years to buid. Thery are currently rebuilding a 1963 Falcon convertible.
Jerry Grieve from Manteca, had the most interesting PT Cruiser. The muse for his car art was his brother, a firefighter. Artwork done by Steve Fernandez of Lodi, smoke and lights by Jerry.
Ron Sampo of Lockford shows off his 1970 Mustang that took him 7 years to rebuild. I admit, I drooled.
1996 Harley owned by Ray Wilhite, was sweet.
1930 Model A Ford complete with a fabric top was proudly shown to me by David and Betty Friston, who admit to leisurely drives to wineries in their beautiful machine.
Then there is the “Cruiser”mobile with Donna & Steve Hutchings as owners.
Sixth grade science camp cookie sales.
And fun was had by all.
