GABA Meeting Focuses on Loss Prevention ~By John Hamilton
Arnold, CA...Tallahan's was filled for the latest Greater Arnold Business Association meeting/mixer. The business movers and shakers from along the Ebbetts Pass Corridor were on hand to network and also hear a presentation from the Calaveras County Sheriff's Departments Prevention Specialist Pat Ross. The subjects ranged from physical building security, credit card fraud, check fraud and more....
these were very useful topics for merchants in today's marketplace.
Also on hand was the Calaveras Visitor's Bureau with a table set up full of pamphlets and information on the great efforts the Visitor's Bureau makes to entice more visitors for our area. Staffing the table were the "Two Lisa's" from the CVB. Executive Director Lisa Mayo and Board Chair Lisa Boulton of Cave, Zip-Lining and exploration fame.
District 3 Supervisor and Board Vice-Chair Merita Callaway was also on hand to mingle with her constituents.
GABA or the Greater Arnold Business Association is the business association, which stretches approximately 47 miles along a section of California Scenic Highway 4 in the Central Sierra Nevada through the towns of Hathaway Pines, Avery, Arnold, Dorrington, Camp Connell, Bear Valley, Lake Alpine and over Ebbetts Pass.
