Friends of the Fair To Hold Special Meeting Wednesday April 1st
Angels Camp, CA....The Friends of the Fair are moving right along with their plans to make the Calaveras County Fait & Jumping Frog Jubilee a continued success. We have the minutes of the March 18th meeting enclosed....

Board Room - Frogtown
Board Members Present: Firman Brown, Jerri Mills, Rick Downey, Jeff Johnson, Tim Folendorf, Jack Boeding and Rob Miller
Board Members Absent: Kathy Mazzaferro, Bob Trichero
1.The Meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by President Firman Brown
2.A motion to approve the minutes of the February 18, 2009 was made. A second to the motion was made and the minutes were approved as submitted.
3.Jerri presented the Treasurers recommendation that we have three bank accounts; a General Account, A Raffle Account and a Scholarship Account.
4.Correspondence – Tad Folendorf asked if the Friends would be interested in selling books on Calaveras History written by Judy Marvin. Friends would make a profit from the sale of each book. More information was needed and the idea was tabled.
5.Firman reported that he has obtained thre ABC Liquor licenses for Friends. Specifically, the bar for the Cattlemen’s Association Dinner on March 27, 2009; the bar for the upcoming “Follies” produced by the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program on April 18, 2009; and one for the Coronation Ball on May 2, 2009.
Jerri Mills and Diane Gray volunteered to chair the staffing for the Cattlemen’s Association.
Jack Boeding and Rick Downey to work on the staffing for the Follies.
6.Director Trinchero will present an update on the raffle ticket sales at the April 1 meeting.
Board members to submit all money and ticket stubs collected to date at that time
7.Director Mazzaferro presented an written update on the Coronation Ball (copy of full report included as an attachment to these minutes). All is moving well.
8.President Brown presented an update on the improvements to the Fair’s south entrance.
9.President Brown reported that he will be driving a “Friends” 1924 vintage truck loaded with Miss Calaveras Royalty at the Murphys Irish Days Parade. Signs will be made for the truck that may be used at other events.
10.Director Mills presented a memorial plaque that would be place on the fence at the Cattleman’s picnic area. Cost would be $100. More details later
The refreshments of Broccoli soup and Ham and Cheese pin wheels were served…thank you President Brown. Even the leftovers were great!
