Bear Valley Snow Report for February 17, 2009.....12" of New Snow Since 5am This Morning!
The conditions have never been better, make plans to come up and join us for the President's week holiday. With a base of nearly 7ft and growing, we've got powder for you powder hounds and the grooming team has been doing an excellent job keeping the beginner and intermediate terrain in great shape. Today's storm will continue thru tonight and could bring us up to another 20" by tomorrow morning. The Backcountry avalanche hazard is HIGH!! So make sure to Check out the Avalanche advisory for the areas outside of the boundary at Bear Valley Mtn. http://www.sierraavalanchecenter.org/....
Want a tip on where to ride? Ask a patroller, We love to give the inside track on where the gettin' is good. Also, if you need any questions answered while around the lodge, seek out any staff member with a Bear Valley Mtn logo on their jacket and they'll be happy to help out. Locals and visitors alike are having super fun and finding some great runs on and off the groomed areas. And like we always do.....Send your best to the Snow Gods for more fresh turns! Bear Valley Cross-Country center is open with 31 trails for a total of 46 kilometers available, 27 trails with groomed track and skating lanes and 4 snowshoe only trails. The Meadow Cafe and Sledding Hill are open for business daily.
