The Tuolumne Narcotics Team with assistance from the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department Investigations and Operations Division as well as Tuolumne County Child Welfare Services served the Search warrant and contacted subjects, Andrew Phillips, Phillip Bancroft and Bridget Barling at the residence....
In Bancroft and Barlings residence numerous items of contraband and evidence of illegal narcotics activity were located which included: 6.9 grams of marijuana, 3.5 ounces of cocaine, 132 MDMA Pills (Ecstasy), a semi automatic handgun and $ 3636.00 (three thousand six hundred and thirty six dollars) in U.S. Currency.
The street value of the Cocaine was $2800.00.
The street value of the MDMA (ecstasy) was $1050.00
Bancroft and Barling were booked into the Tuolumne County Jail where bail was set at $ 50,000 dollars.
Phillips was found in possession of approximately 28.6 grams of Marijuana. Phillips was released at the scene and charges were referred to the Tuolumne County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
The three thousand six hundred and thirty six dollars are believed to be proceeds from illegal activity and were seized pending asset forfeiture proceedings.
An approx 18 month old child that was living at the residence was taken into protective custody by Tuolumne County Child Welfare Services.
The 132 MDMA Pills seized was a major seizure for Tuolumne County and taking these narcotics off the streets will make a significant impact in the availability of MDMA in our area.
