"What a Miracle" Fundraiser for Zack Guillemin ~ By Hanna Alldrin
Murphys, CA......On new years eve day seven-year-old Zack Guillemin, was injured in a chain saw accident. At the time of the accident the family had no medical insurance to pay for the medical bills or reconstructive surgery making it extremely hard for the family to live day to day. "We received his first bill from UC Davis without physician fees of $8,000," shared Zack's sister Ashley Guilemin. Zack has a pretty large scar on the left side of his face which took 60 stitches to close up......

With enough funds raised his family will be able to have plastic surgery done to reduce the scar tissue. Right after the accident happened Zack's older sister Ashley wanted to put together a fundraiser to help her family with the medical bills and surgery costs. This afternoon a benefit featuring live music by Clan Dyken, Alma Melodiosa, Outlaw Dance Society, food, soft drinks and a drawing was held in the honor of Zack.
"Accidents do happen, but we really need the help and support from our community," shared Rick Guillemin, Zack's father. We spoke with Zack who wanted to say, "Thank you to all of the people who are helping me and my family." Todays event was a success, but if you would like to make a donation please call 304-2181.
On Saturday February 7th Pizza Factory in San Andreas will be hosting a special fundraiser to help Zack Guillemin and his family. Each large dine in pizza sold $5 will go to Zack. Each extra large take out pizza sold $2.50 will go to Zack. Come out and help little Zack.
