**JENNY LIND FIRE DISTRICT ANNEXATION MON. JAN. 26TH **
At the LAFCO (Local Agency Formation Commission) meeting January 26th, there
will be a public hearing regarding Jenny Lind Fire District request to annex
13,000 additional acres in the Cane Lane, Milton, and S. New Hogan Lake
Areas. The hearing will be held at 6 p.m. at the Calaveras Works Sequoia
Room at 509 E. St. Charles St. in San Andreas. More info can be found on

**COSGROVE CREEK FLOOD DAMAGE REDUCTION MEETING WED. JAN. 28TH**
The Sacramento District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Calaveras County and
CCWD have partnered to conduct a flood damage reduction study for Cosgrove
Creek and are gathering information to define issues and concerns. They will
hold a public meeting Wed., January 28th, 5-7 p.m. at the Jenny Lind
Veteran’s Hall in Valley Springs (189 Pine St.).
Discussion Topics will include: the Corps planning process, Alternative
Plans being considered, the NEPA/CEQA process, Timelines, FEMA Mapping, and
Permitted Development to date.
