Major Injuries to Twain Harte Man in Collision after his Subaru Outback was Clocked at 112 MPH! |

Twain Harte, CA...On February 20, 2020 at approximately 12:20PM, 26-year-old Jarrett James Bravo of Twain Harte was driving his 2003 Subaru Outback westbound on State Route 108 near the east Twain Harte entrance at an extremely high rate of speed. At that same time, a CHP Officer was traveling eastbound on State Route 108 approaching Mr. Bravo. The Officer noticed Mr. Bravo’s high rate of speed and activated his radar obtaining a reading of 112 miles per hour. The Officer made a U turn and attempted to catch up to Mr. Bravo. As the officer traveled on westbound State Route 108, just east of Soulsbyville Road, he noticed a large cloud of dirt ahead of him. The Officer immediately recognized that Mr. Bravo lost control of his vehicle and it overturned multiple times.

Twain Harte, CA...On February 16, 2020 at approximately 7:30pm, 21-year-old Zachary Morris of Twain Harte was driving his 1995 Toyota Corolla along with his passenger, 24-year-old Kyle Rooks of Sonora. They were traveling eastbound on Joaquin Gully Road, west of Middle Camp Road at approximately 40 miles per hour when Mr. Morris allowed his vehicle to drift to the right onto the south shoulder and collide with a street sign. After the impact with the street sign, the vehicle continued in a southerly direction and collided with some large trees.

Over ridges, prevailing northeast winds 25 to 45 mph with local gusts to around 60 mph increasing to 35 to 55 mph with local gusts to around 75 mph in the afternoon. Tonight Clear, breezy. San Andreas - The 2020 Mountain Oaks Academic Decathlon Team are the Calaveras & Tuolumne Regional Champions of the 41st Annual Regional Academic Decathlon Competition. This year’s competition took place on Feb. 1, 2020 at Sonora High School. This year’s curriculum theme was “In Sickness and in Health: An Exploration of Illness and Wellness”. Students compete in ten events: Economics, Essay, Art, Interview, Language and Literature, Math, Music, Social Science, Speech, and Written Super Quiz. This year’s four competing high schools included Bret Harte High School, Mountain Oaks School, Summerville High School, and Tioga High School.
